British Pie Week, 4th – 10th March

Pies are lots of peoples go to comfort food … I myself are partial to a large slice of apple pie. To get involved perhaps share you fave recipes or if you sell pies this week is a great time to run a special offer or a limited edition filling. Make sure you include the hashtag #BritishPieWeek on all your lovely posts.

National Careers Week, 4th – 10th March

This week is run by NCW, who are a not-for-profit company that are dedicated to promoting the importance of good careers education in schools and colleges. Head this way to find out more.

In terms of content if you are science or tech based perhaps think about sharing an interesting infographic or some interesting facts. Alternatively you could celebrate your fave scientist or if you’re London based head over to the Science Museum and share the story of your visit.

Special Days …

St David’s Day – 1st

This day is all about celebrating St David, the patron saint of Wales. Get involved by sharing some content that is based on one or both of Wales’s national emblems – a daffodil and a leek. Don’t forget to tag #StDavidsDay in your posts.

Pancake Day – 5th

Also know as Shrove Tuesday, I know it feels a little late this year but this is because Pancake Day is always celebrated exactly 47 days before Easter Sunday. Traditionally families prepare to start Lent the next day by using up all of the treats in their kitchen cupboards in the form of pancakes. Whatever you reason for celebrating or getting involved make sure you show off your pancakes on social … unusual combo or take a video showcasing your incredible flipping skills.

World Book Day – 7th

This day is organised by the registered charity of the same name, their aim is to give every child and young person a book of their own and celebrate authors, books and reading. Get involved by sharing you fave book / author as a child and make sure you use the hashtag #WorldBookDay.

International Women’s Day – 8th

This years theme is #balanceforbetter and is all about driving gender balance to create a better working world. This year the IWD team are asking people to get involved by posting their #IWD2019 message on social with a “hands out” balance pose for a strong call-to-action. Find out more here.

Free on the 6th March and based in Cambridge? Come on over to the Cambridge Girl Tribe Gang meetup, its IWD themed with a cracking speaker and the opportunity to meet other wonderful business babes!!

Red Nose Day – 15th

A great way to get involved with Red Nose Day is to do some fundraising where people can follow your journey to your target. Some ideas can be found on their website. Alternatively you can support the charity by buying a red nose … make sure you take lots of pics and post them using the hashtag!

St Patricks Day – 17th

Another day celebrating a patron saint, this time its St Patrick the patron saint of Ireland. Get involved by sharing sharing your fave shamrock fact, a recipe for Irish Stew or simply a pic of you enjoying a pint of Guinness. Don’t forget to join the conversation online by using the hashtag #stpatricksday.

Spring Equinox – 20th

Thats right people the first day of Spring is here!!! That means lighter mornings and evenings and the possibility of being able to start wearing one or two layers less – HURRAH!

Content wise thing about things that are associated with spring so daffodils, tulips, lambs etc. Also Spring is all about clear outs (share you Marie Kondo escapades) and also fresh starts so perhaps share some new goals you have.

Wear a Hat Day – 29th

This day isn’t just about wearing a sassy outfit its also about raising money for brain tumour research. Since the first Wear a Hat Day in 2010 the charity has raised over a million pounds!! There are many different ways to get involved, including hat making competitions or purchasing one of the incredible brooches that have been designed in collaboration with celebrated Milliners. How ever you decide to get involved make sure you post lots of pictures, use the hashtag and most importantly of all, donate what you can to this amazing cause.

Mothering Sunday – 31st

This day is all about celebrating our Mummas…if you are happy to, share a pic of you and your mum to celebrate. If you have created special offers to celebrate this day make sure you are sharing throughout the month using the hashtags #mothersday and #motheringsunday.

Phew … well that was a long post, thanks for sticking with me. Hope this has given you some ideas of what to share alongside the content you have planned in.

Can’t wait to see some of your content.
